This project, based on Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, allowed me to combine my love for literature and design. I aimed to mirror the dreamlike and philosophical tone of the book through the layout and typography. I chose a blend of modern and classical typefaces, using Aptifer Sans LT Pro for a contemporary touch and Palatino to maintain a timeless feel. The abstract illustrations I created were inspired by the mystical cities Calvino describes, offering a visual representation of the text’s surreal qualities. It was a deeply immersive experience that pushed me to blend storytelling with visual design.
